Rachel Weisz Wants Botox Banned for Actors Like 'Steroids Are for Sportsmen'

Rachel Weisz thinks Nicole Kidman is to acting what Barry Bonds is to baseball.
Weisz give an interview in the August issue of Harper's Bazaar, in which the actress discusses her disdain for Botox injections.

"It should be banned for actors, as steroids are for sportsmen," Weisz says of Botox. "Acting is all about expression; why would you want to iron out a frown?"

Given the obsession with appearance that dominates Hollywood, it's hard to imagine such a ban would actually exist. Jenny McCarthy has spoken openly about her love of the product, while Virginia Madsen is actually a spokesperson for the company that makes Botox and Juvederm. And countless actors and actresses remain hush-hush about their frequent Botox use.

But it sounds like Rachel has some support, anyway. "As I started to talk about it and as it ended up in print there was such an overwhelming response from friends and family, lots and lots of actors, people on the street,” she said. “They were surprised that I looked so ‘normal.’"
