I'll be doing my best to stop other women from having it done!

I had my PIPs implants fitted in Nov '04 with Harley Medical Group and touch wood have no real problems. The ultrasound didn't show anything and I need to find out from HMG about my MRI scan, they've yet to call me so am going on Friday to find out about this.
I've decided that I'll put in a claim for the original fee, removal and compensation as this is not what we asked to be put in our bodies. I've decided that surgery will be for removal only as athe crisis as made me realise that it is simply not worth your health for boobs. I have a big difference in sizes and will have to wear inserts whilst I adapt to life without them.
I think every woman with implants needs to weigh up whether they want to face the rest of their lives worrying about the health risks, cost of replacing, scans and everything that comes with it. Clinics do not do this and I'll be doing my best to stop other women from having it done!

I have had my PIP implants for 7 years and will have them removed very soon. I am currently on the waitting list on the nhs for removal.
I had a scan done and they appear to be intact, which is reasuring but I still want them out without replacement.

I am very pleased they are going to be removed as i hate them.I feel more self concious about my boobs now than when they were small.I thought that it would make me feel better having bigger boobs, and it did for a little while but i now try and cover up to avoid people staring at them.
I wish i would have thought about it more and thought about the implications that come with breast implants.I urge anyone who is thinking of having them done to think hard about what they are doing, and dont think its going to make you any happier and more confident.it didnt with me.

God knows what am going to look like with out them but my health comes.will post back after the op. wish me luck

How can I help with this ?? I too feel strongly that it is probably a procedure that is not really needed. They need to talk to someone that will help them realize just how beautiful they are with out the implants.
