I just celebrated 19 weeks since my explant surgery and I could not be happier.
Hello, I just celebrated 19 weeks since my explant surgery and I could not be happier. It was the best choice I could have made. I also had very severe capsular contracture twice just like you but on my left side. I had revision surgery with a new implant put in and it didn't help, it came back. It got very, very bad and got so painful. I was very stressed out about it and it bothered me how I looked and how I felt. I was worried every night that it might rupture inside of me and worried about the capsular contracture, the implant was so hard and my whole chest hurt. I found a wonderful Plastic surgeon (do not go back to the one who implanted you) and she was wonderful! She did initially try to talk me into getting new ones put in but I told her no, that I was over it. After that she was very supportive and she didn't try to talk me into it again. I also had breastfed for a long time and my once 34 C breasts had gone to 34 A. I was very worried of being completely flat, deformed after my explant but I look better than expected! I have lost all the volume of course from the implants but I am natural and my breasts are not saggy or deformed, just smaller. I did wear a sportsbra for a good 6 weeks after surgery and was very careful to not do too much after my surgery, etc and I feel fantastic today! It is amazing how much more confident I am and how I am not stressed about having the implants inside of me anymore. My PS did have to do extensive scar tissue removal, she said she had to beat me up a little cause it had spread up to my collar bone. She was so wonderful and took great care of me. I didn't get a lift but didn't need one. It feels so amazing to be natural and not to have pain in my chest and to be able to hug my friends and my family without those hard rocks in my chest. I also look lighter and can wear the tank tops I have always wanted to wear but was too self conscious having those implants in my chest. I am not one to flaunt it, was always trying to hide my chest. Now when I see women with implants I am so happy that I do not look like that anymore and will never go back to getting them.
Please do your research and find a good PS that you trust and get your surgery, you will feel a million times better and you will be so much happier. Talk to them about getting a lift too. I have seen pics of explant surgery with a lift and these women look fantastic.
I have CC on the left side, and am so scared to undergo the surgery to remove my implants. I fear not waking up, or having complications afterward. My ps said I wouldn't need drains. Did you have to have any?
What is the name of the PS that removed your implants please?
I would also like to know of a recommended surgeon
As I would like to have my implants removed
Also! Thanks x
I also want my implants removed due to severe CC and have read that it's important to find a PS that is skilled in explant surgery. I'm in California, so if there's anyone to recommend, I'd appreciate it!! :)
I had my implants removed yesterday and I feel great. I did not like having those boulders on my chest. They looked unnaturally round and too high for my age, didn't move...plus they were starting to droop, looking like two footballs from the side. If I were to wear any form fitting shirts, they would just look vulgar and fake. Plus, they made my proportions look out of whack, thick and short-waisted. I feel like I lost weight (I did!) and they feel more sensitive to the touch again. I can now focus on losing weight again, as I'm more conscious of my stomach, butt, and legs. I am sososo happy to be natural again after 8 years. I don't want to be looked at for having big fake breasts and now I can hug people again without feeling those nasty desperate beach balls between me and the person. I look like the girl next door again and not some stripper. I can wear a dress again and not have the tell tale 'ball look' in the front, but a normal tear drop shape. If you are thinking about implant removal, I say do it. God made you as you are for a reason.
hello. I am 49 and have had my implants for over 10 years. I have been wanting them removed for the past couple years. Tired of clothes not fitting right and miss my natural look. I went from an A cup to a D cup (I wanted a C cup and thought I was getting C cups).
Has any other ladies in my age group had their implants removed? What was the outcome? Are they natural looking or saggy? I'm nervous :(
Im getting my implants removed in a couple of days. I went from a 34B to 34DD and hate how big they are. I've had them 7 years. I am worried about deformity and sagging.
